Sad Day

So...I have been officially released of my work duties. Ugh I am so mad/sad. I loved working at the temple and being able to go everyday. So apparently, when I told my "step down boss lady" that I pulled out my Associates and that I wouldn't be able to work, turned out to actually be true. However, she even told me herself, that the Temple Custodial job is completely exceptional to that rule. So now, I am completely jobless with no money coming in. Man, this sucks. I totally had my schedule set for my days and now they are completely ruined! I am going to have to reschedule my entire days now. This really sucks.

Sick of Rexburg

Ugh...Rexburg is such a bore now. Knowing that I could be else where by now, either in Texas or California, I am so ready to be done with here. I am sick of the snow and the cold. I'm tired of wearing coats and sweaters around my house. I am tired of having to sleep with wool socks and flannel pjs. I certainly miss the days of sleeping in shorts and tshirt. Texas, if you really do love me, accept Jared for any of the jobs he has applied for so far, sooner rather than later. I don't know how much longer I can last.

Anyways...not much has happened this week. I am seeing a routine happening for the next however long I am going to be living here. I wake up at 9, take a shower, clean the kitchen, play on the ipod and little bit and put the TV on, make breakfast, go to work, come home, make dinner, then sit at home by my lonesome while Jared is at work. Like I said, it is not very eventful. This is going to be a long many weeks until a job acceptance. Pray everyone to get me out of my misery :)

New Year Resolutions!

Ok, so I know I'm a little late, but I figured late is so much better than never. So here we go:

1. Help Jared find a good Marketing Job in Texas. For those who don't know Jared has graduated and is now looking for a job in Marketing. Our main focus is in Dallas, TX but anywhere in Texas will really make me happy anyway. So, for all those who currently live in Texas, keep your eyes open. :)
2. Lose 10 pounds if at all possible. However, if 10 pounds is not likely, as long as Im in the 120's I think I'll be ok. Getting into a routine is going to be the hard part, they won't start the free workout classes until about 2 weeks into school starting. So the even harder part is getting into a fitness routine before the classes start.
3. Early to bed, early to rise. Hopefully if I can do this, it will make me wise :)
4. Become healthier in general. I want to start eating better as well as exercise. I'm ready to be in as good of shape as I was my freshman year of high school.
5. Become more organized in household chores. I want my apartment to be clean (not necessarily spotless) all the time, that way I'm not worried and freaking out when people come over to my house.
6. Become more financially organized. I want to learn how to budget better, especially when we are living off of college wages

Hopefully this year will bring about great changes in my life.

Christmas in Hawaii

Monday, December 27, 2010. My in-laws surprised us all on a vacation day in Hawaii. So earlier this year, the whole family was deciding on what we wanted to do over Christmas break. The running joke was that Scott, my father-in-law, should fly us all to Hawaii so we could spend Christmas in Hawaii. I've always wanted to go there so I was totally on board. I knew it was never going to happen, but there was always that small hope. So, Monday morning, the in-laws kicked us all out of the house and we were not allowed to come back till 5 that evening. So we had a ton of time to kill. Collectively, we tried to figure out what the parents were doing for us, the best guess we came up with was they were setting up a mystery dinner for us. 5 o'clock finally came around and we headed back home. We waited outside until Scott came outside in board shorts, yellow button up t-shirt, flip flops, and a straw hat. I was a little confused about what was going on. Next thing I know, we are creating a plane. Loni and I were the wings, Ben and Jared were the engines, the two Jakes were the tail and Emily was the pilot. Around the house we went into the kitchen where Holli greeted us with those lei things (I don't think I spelled it right). We were also given grass skirts and coconut bra's.

I love this picture of Madison. It is absolutely hilarious with the face and grabbing her coconuts, I could not stop laughing at this picture. She is such a doll. She was also enjoying the festivities.

After we all got dressed, we went out onto the back porch to partake in the luau festivities. Don't look at me too closely, I look really fat. There is a long story to that. I was 137 pounds beginning of the semester and I got down to 128. But since coming to the in-laws for Christmas I gained like 5 pounds cause of all the high fat foods they were making and all the snack foods laying around. I blame them for the weight gain.

And this beautiful sister in law of mine is pregnant as you can tell. She is about 24 weeks pregnant and she looks like she is ready to give birth. Take a turn for the worse, she is carrying twin boys. I don't know how much bigger, but she is such a trooper, especially with 3 other kids to worry about.

Outside on the porch, Scott and Holli laid out all the food. There was so much! We had chicken, pulled pork, and those mini sausage thingys. The back yard was all decked out Hawaiian style, tiki guys, palm trees, grass skirts on the tables, boogie boards, giant turtles, you name it they had it there.

And these cups were awesome. They are in the shape of pineapples. The children had monkey cups that they also really enjoyed. Especially Riley, she is obsessed with monkeys.

There really wasn't much room for everyone. The kids were the only ones who got to sit in chairs, so us "adults" had to stand around.

This was our other table. It was full of fruit (mangos, pineapple, kiwi, papaya, grapes, strawberries, cantaloupe), vegetables (carrots, snow peas, celery), rice and salad. It was all so delicious and I definitely ate to my fill. No wonder Im gaining weight while I'm here, the food they cook is just way to good.

Like I said. There wasn't much room so for dinner, most of the adults had to sit on the floor. It was quite interesting, I felt native :)

After dinner we got into the dancing part of the night. Here is Riley dancing and shaking those hips of her's. She loves to dance, so she was the one to start it off for all of us.

She can certainly shake those hips of her's lol.

Marshal and Casen were getting into the dancing and the music. They really enjoyed it. Especially Marshal (the boy in Red) he loved spinning around.

After dinner and the dancing, Scott and Holli taught us the stick game that I'm guessing is really popular in Hawaii. You have to tap and throw sticks to your partner in time with the music. It was really hard but a blast at the same time. Jared and I kept hitting each other, or throwing them out of reach, but in the end we still had a lot of fun.

After all the fun and the adults we cleaning up, the kids were pulling each other on the boogie board in the kitchen.

Madison is so photogenic. Her daddy Jake is going to have to clean his shot gun ready when she comes of age. All in all, it was a wonderful night and we all had fun.

Christmas Day

Christmas day is such an eventful morning. Though there were a ton of presents underneath the tree, it didn't take nearly as long as I thought it was going to be. The Honsvick's do Christmas morning present opening so much differently than we do it in my own home. When I was growing up, we would open presents up one at a time allowing everyone in the family to "oooo" and "ahhhh" at the gifts everyone got. At the Honsvick's, Scott (the dad) separated out all the presents to individuals and everyone opened gifts in their own personal circle. So, I had no idea what everyone got, and to be honest, it kinda irked me.

Here are some of the things that I do know: Madison got a new bike, and lets just say it was the hit for every child in the house. She also got a very cute sparkly, purple tutu which she absolutely loved (she is the girly girl of the family).

Riley got a Mr. and Mrs. Potato head, a tea set, and a "My Little Pony" baby with a bottle and everything. (The slinky is either Marshal's or Casen's)

As for me, as you can tell, I got a Tangled coloring book, I SO want to see the movie, it looks so good. I also got this totally awesome shower poof (half of it is a scrub, the other just a normal poof, it totally rocks). I also got a pair of Ralph Lauren tennis shoes, a yoga matt, a weight ball, Big Sexy Hair products, two nice dress jackets (I needed nice jackets to wear to church), socks and some other things I can't remember as of right now. All in all it was a good Christmas.

I got Jared an "I'm Awesome" shirt which totally rocks (it was too big so I had to send it back to get a smaller size), a video game, his favorite body wash, his new Nikon D90 camera, and some other things that I can't remember. Jared's parents got us an "Apple TV" which I am totally excited about. All in all it has been a great Christmas.

Remember me telling you that Madison's bike was the hit of the Christmas present. Well these pictures below is proof of that. The first thing that happens, Riley grabs me and makes me sit down on the bike. Then she crawls into the little bucket on the back of the bike so she could ride around in it while I carted her around everywhere.

It was so funny! The entire Christmas break, I was Riley's favorite person to "hang" out with. She was always asking for "An Shari" for everything, including changing her bum, riding the bike, reading her a story, giving her bedtime hugs, changing into her PJs. You name it and that is what she asked, "An Shari do it" "An Shari do it." It was really kinda cute.

And yes, my shirt really does say "Hello...I'm Awesome." Its my new favorite shirt. And yes, I totally got it from the WWE store :) What can I say.
