Christmas Day

Christmas day is such an eventful morning. Though there were a ton of presents underneath the tree, it didn't take nearly as long as I thought it was going to be. The Honsvick's do Christmas morning present opening so much differently than we do it in my own home. When I was growing up, we would open presents up one at a time allowing everyone in the family to "oooo" and "ahhhh" at the gifts everyone got. At the Honsvick's, Scott (the dad) separated out all the presents to individuals and everyone opened gifts in their own personal circle. So, I had no idea what everyone got, and to be honest, it kinda irked me.
Here are some of the things that I do know: Madison got a new bike, and lets just say it was the hit for every child in the house. She also got a very cute sparkly, purple tutu which she absolutely loved (she is the girly girl of the family).
Riley got a Mr. and Mrs. Potato head, a tea set, and a "My Little Pony" baby with a bottle and everything. (The slinky is either Marshal's or Casen's)
As for me, as you can tell, I got a Tangled coloring book, I SO want to see the movie, it looks so good. I also got this totally awesome shower poof (half of it is a scrub, the other just a normal poof, it totally rocks). I also got a pair of Ralph Lauren tennis shoes, a yoga matt, a weight ball, Big Sexy Hair products, two nice dress jackets (I needed nice jackets to wear to church), socks and some other things I can't remember as of right now. All in all it was a good Christmas.
I got Jared an "I'm Awesome" shirt which totally rocks (it was too big so I had to send it back to get a smaller size), a video game, his favorite body wash, his new Nikon D90 camera, and some other things that I can't remember. Jared's parents got us an "Apple TV" which I am totally excited about. All in all it has been a great Christmas.
Remember me telling you that Madison's bike was the hit of the Christmas present. Well these pictures below is proof of that. The first thing that happens, Riley grabs me and makes me sit down on the bike. Then she crawls into the little bucket on the back of the bike so she could ride around in it while I carted her around everywhere.
It was so funny! The entire Christmas break, I was Riley's favorite person to "hang" out with. She was always asking for "An Shari" for everything, including changing her bum, riding the bike, reading her a story, giving her bedtime hugs, changing into her PJs. You name it and that is what she asked, "An Shari do it" "An Shari do it." It was really kinda cute.
And yes, my shirt really does say "Hello...I'm Awesome." Its my new favorite shirt. And yes, I totally got it from the WWE store :) What can I say.

Christmas Eve

T'was the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse....
Ok, maybe at the Honsvick's house it was a little bit different. Chaos is everywhere. By this time, everyone is here at the house, all of Jared's brothers and sister and their families. The house is packed and noisy. Kids are running everywhere and parents are yelling at them to calm down...you get the gist. Here are some of the things that we did Christmas Eve.
First I gave Mary Kay makeovers to my wonderful mother in law and my beautiful sister in law. We wanted to get all dolled up before we finished up our Christmas Shopping. I think they enjoyed it, the before and after pictures are below.

(Yes, we look super bad! We were on our way out walking.)
Then we played games and caught up with everyone's lives. The kids were super excited for Santa Claus to come bring them their presents. First we had a Christmas Eve family talent show. Ben and Loni read a very cute story to us about the birth of Christ.
Rachel's family sang "Santa Claus is Coming to Town,"
And Jake and Jared sang Adam Sandlers "Hanukah" song.

From there the kids opened their Christmas Eve gifts which were their brand new PJs. Then we made candy trains.
This is Riley (Ben and Loni's Girl) in her new Snowman PJs. They are the cute footie pajamas which as stinkin adorable on her, she has so many pairs.
We have Casen (4) in his Dinosaur pjs, Madison (2.5) in her Monkey pjs, and Marshal (6) in his Polar Bear pjs. All the pjs came with masks, and the kids loved them.

It was such a blast and it is so adorable watching all my nieces and nephews being excited about Christmas and Santa Claus. There are some days I wish I could be a kid again.
I am so ready to Santa Claus to come.

Christmas is Coming

Wow, so much has happened in these past several weeks. We have completed our finals and we did well. Jared is glad to be done and graduated (though the school is now complaining that he has classes he still needs to take, which is totally gay and not true), he walked the stage. I hate that BYU-Idaho is run by students who have no idea what they are doing. For his graduation gift, I got Jared a really nice camera, a Nikon D90. I think he really likes it, but its amazing expensive, we better get some great use out of it. Anyways, the Sunday after his graduation we left for California. It was awful if I might add. If was snowing pretty hard in Pocatello, Idaho which slowed us down quite a bit. We stopped so many times which slowed us down a lot also. Then on top of Truckee Pass (in between Reno Nevada and Rocklin California) it was snowing hard core. Since California are sticklers about everything, they made Jake, who was carpooling behind us in his car, pull off the side of the road and put on chains, which again delayed our progress once again, and from there is was 35 mph through the pass. Lets just say that a 12 hour drive turned into an 18 hour drive. I have never been in a car that long, and it SUCKED!! I never want to get into a car again.
Well, since being here in California, we have had a fun time. We did our Christmas shopping and stocking shopping. I really hope Jared will like what I got him. I can't believe that Christmas is in 2 days, and that it is already almost 2011. Time has certainly flow by extremely fast.
(Graduation pictures to come soon)

P.S.
For those who have not given me your email, I am going to need them for when I go private. I fixed my comments box, so it should be working again. Thanks.

Burnt Out

There is two weeks till Thanksgiving break, and Jared and I are getting burnt out, and Jared is also getting a BAD case of Senioritis. This is Jared's last semester and he is finally graduating, and he is super stoked! We are so ready to be done with Rexburg and the freezing cold!
So like I said, Thanksgiving break is in two weeks, and we get a full week off (but I don't cause I have to work at the Temple, I only get about 3-4 days of the 9 days of no school). We have not had a break since school started in early September, not even a 3 day weekend. Its Ridiculous! What do they think we are? The Energizer Bunny, and that we can just keep going and going and going.... You get my point. Not only that, but I have not had a single Saturday to sleep in because of working at the Temple. I need a full day of sleep, with no responsibilities, no work, no school, no plasma, no having to make dinner, or figure out how we are going to arrange our 1 car situation. I am so in need of a day where I can stay snuggled in the covers in the morning and not have to go outside in the horrible, awful, freezing snow.
