Christmas is Coming

Wow, so much has happened in these past several weeks. We have completed our finals and we did well. Jared is glad to be done and graduated (though the school is now complaining that he has classes he still needs to take, which is totally gay and not true), he walked the stage. I hate that BYU-Idaho is run by students who have no idea what they are doing. For his graduation gift, I got Jared a really nice camera, a Nikon D90. I think he really likes it, but its amazing expensive, we better get some great use out of it. Anyways, the Sunday after his graduation we left for California. It was awful if I might add. If was snowing pretty hard in Pocatello, Idaho which slowed us down quite a bit. We stopped so many times which slowed us down a lot also. Then on top of Truckee Pass (in between Reno Nevada and Rocklin California) it was snowing hard core. Since California are sticklers about everything, they made Jake, who was carpooling behind us in his car, pull off the side of the road and put on chains, which again delayed our progress once again, and from there is was 35 mph through the pass. Lets just say that a 12 hour drive turned into an 18 hour drive. I have never been in a car that long, and it SUCKED!! I never want to get into a car again.
Well, since being here in California, we have had a fun time. We did our Christmas shopping and stocking shopping. I really hope Jared will like what I got him. I can't believe that Christmas is in 2 days, and that it is already almost 2011. Time has certainly flow by extremely fast.
(Graduation pictures to come soon)

P.S.
For those who have not given me your email, I am going to need them for when I go private. I fixed my comments box, so it should be working again. Thanks.

Burnt Out

There is two weeks till Thanksgiving break, and Jared and I are getting burnt out, and Jared is also getting a BAD case of Senioritis. This is Jared's last semester and he is finally graduating, and he is super stoked! We are so ready to be done with Rexburg and the freezing cold!
So like I said, Thanksgiving break is in two weeks, and we get a full week off (but I don't cause I have to work at the Temple, I only get about 3-4 days of the 9 days of no school). We have not had a break since school started in early September, not even a 3 day weekend. Its Ridiculous! What do they think we are? The Energizer Bunny, and that we can just keep going and going and going.... You get my point. Not only that, but I have not had a single Saturday to sleep in because of working at the Temple. I need a full day of sleep, with no responsibilities, no work, no school, no plasma, no having to make dinner, or figure out how we are going to arrange our 1 car situation. I am so in need of a day where I can stay snuggled in the covers in the morning and not have to go outside in the horrible, awful, freezing snow.

Mid-Term Goals

I can't believe that it is already mid-term for the semester. Only 6 weeks left of school and then it is on to bigger and better things, hopefully, if Jared finds a job soon. This has been a good semester so far. I enjoy my classes for the most part, but I love love love my water aerobics and swimming class. I haven't lost any weight (which I am really sad/mad about), but I have saved myself about 20 million heart beats this year. Pretty much is you manage to get your heart beat/pulse down 5 bpm, you save 5 million heart beats per year. I went from 88 bpm down to about mid-high 60's bpm. I am super stoked, and yes I was super out of shape. But I am working on it. Now all I need to do is get Jared to start working out, then we should be good.

My goal by the end of this semester is to lose at least 5 pounds, preferably 10 pounds. On top of my water aerobics and swimming classes, I am going to start hitting the gym and do some weight lifting and running/elliptical as well as some classes. We shall see though. I recently found out that my mother-in-law has lost 25 pounds, which I am totally proud of her. She has been running/walking everyday. She has been my motivator for me to pick up my slack. If she is going to be looking good this Christmas, then so am I, lol!

6 months and finally finished!!!

So its been about 6 months I have finally finished my cross-stitching baby blanket. It took so long but I have finally finished, you don't know how big of a relief that was; definitely the biggest project I have done in a long while. I had such a blast making this. I am going to be putting a back to it made out of that new minkee fabric (the yellow swath is what I have picked out) and then put a satin binding along the edges, I picked a light green.

So the blanket up top is for our little girl (in the future). Below, I have already pick the blanket that I wanna do for our little boy (in the future). The fabric swath's are the colors that I would like to do that backing, but I think it would be fun to do like a giraffe print or zebra print that went with it. I couldnt find a picture of any.

Now all I need to do is finish up my blanket and start on the second.
